I love how Salvatore Ferragamo’s Autumn/Fall 2011 collection has combined all of the most classic (and my most favorite) prints and they complement each other so perfectly. I especially love the variation of houndstooth, plaid and cheetah print in the dress below. Take a leaf from this campaign if you want to add a few timeless prints to your wardrobe.

This fall, the 70s theme remains high on the list, carrying across from previous fall & winter the flares, wide-leg pants, pussy-bow blouses and wide-brim hats. However, last years was a little more boho than this years more sophisticated look and is given an added dose of sizzle by the incorporation of furs & snake-skin print.
Chloe Pre-fall and Fall 2011..ssssss…
Also following through are elements from the biker and punk rock themes which is a tougher contrast to the 70’s look, with lots and lots of leather, fur and tassels.

Zac Posen Fall 2011
An even bigger contrast is the new emerging theme of the elegantly old fashioned feminine Oriental style – a mixture of structured and soft floaty fabrics, high slits, svelte floor sweeping hems, water painting patterns, kimono style dresses and drapery.

I haven’t had much time over the last few months to post anything besides my published shoots etc, but I’m sick in bed with an annoying cold and the daytime telly is too awful to watch. So I’m spending this time with my beloved Mac, a box of tissues, many cups of tea to share some seasonal trends and other stuff with you ;o)
For this years Fall colors, think BURNT. Burnt red, orange, mustard, plum with pops of turquoise, lime and magenta.
The autumn palette is obviously naturally true to these colors but remember that every seasonal palette, whether you’re a summer, spring or winter, all contain variations of these autumnal hues to suit your skin tone. Not sure which seasonal palette you fall under? Book a consultation with me to determine which season you are – email@example.com
