A few of my favorites from EFW’s Trade Show:
Chi’s design philosophy is simple elegance, with a twist that can be worn any day and any time. Her work has the underlying theme of East meets West.

It was a very early start to my day yesterday (4:05 am to be precise!), but I was too excited to care. I assisted Christie Lohr on City Breakfast TV at the wonderful Blush store in West Vancouver. Gorgeous presenter, Dawn Chubai, effortlessly flicked between reporting the weather and getting the scoop from Christie live on air about Grad dress trends and how to wear them.

Yes, skinny jeans are still in fashion and they are not going anywhere anytime soon. But while that’s a fact, flared jeans and flared trousers are back for both men and women as a spring 2011 fashion trend. Ladies should embrace this leg-lengthening and hip whittling trend.
Flared jeans at Derek Lam SS11
Bell bottoms and flared jeans and pants for women in 2011 are all about a neo-1970s style. Here are a few tips on how to wear them:
- A hem that is at least as wide as your foot
- Loose at the knee as opposed to the 1990s interpretation where they are cut very slim down the thigh and knee, flaring out from below the knee cap.
- Pair with tops (baggy blouse, simple tee or fine knit) tucked into the waist to accentuate the waistline further. The Ballet-inspired Body is back as part of the Ballerina trend and emphasises a very 70s silhouette tucked into flared trousers.
- Heels! The season’s 70s revival sees wedges and platforms, which elongates the leg even more.
MCQ High-waisted flared jeans / The Outnet / On sale for $46.20
New wide leg trouser jeans (pintucked) / Gap / $89.50
Tailored Ponti High Waisted Slim Flare Pants / ASOS / $53.79
Emilio Pucci High Waisted Flare Leg Pants / Saks Fifth Avenue / $895
